If you’re looking for traditional authentic Indian cuisine you have to check out Natkhat Flavors in Dripping Springs. Our good friends that Joseph’s family just opened this restaurant and it is fantastic. What makes this restaurant so special is that they use farm fresh ingredients and even offer gluten free, dairy free and vegan options, but they don’t sacrifice the flavor and authenticity of their recipes. The owners care so much about keeping everyone healthy and trying to cater to people’s needs. They have one of the cleanest kitchens and their food is very fresh and made to order from scratch.
Now I will warn you that if you are someone who doesn’t love spices, then this is not the place for you. But if you’re like me and you love incredible flavors, you’re going to love this place. What’s most impressive to me is that the menu here changes daily so you could literally come every day and discover a new dish and Saturday they also feature a special for the week and they have live music on the first Saturday of each month. So today we’re sampling pretty much everything on the menu.
The samosas are absolutely amazing. You definitely need to get these as an appetizer if you come and out of all of their dishes. I really love the butter chicken. I’ve had this many times before and I’d say that’s my favorite. And in fact that dish is so popular it stays on the menu each day. The chicken Afghani is also a very unique dish and I found out that this restaurant is currently the only one who offers this in Central Texas. And for vegetarians, the paneer is some of the best. Come on by.
