Have you been looking for the perfect space to build your next home out in the Lake Travis area? I have got to tell you about the biggest development that we’ve seen out there that just broke ground. This is Thomas Ranch neighborhood. And this is going to be unlike any masterplan community that I’ve ever seen. So in this video, I’m gonna give you the inside scoop, everything you need to know about it.
So Thomas Ranch is a 2200 acre development that’s in Spicewood, Texas, just off Highway 71 Pelvis Ranch Road and Hainey flat Road, we had the privilege of going to their groundbreaking ceremony last week. It is some of the most beautiful parts of the hill country that I’ve seen huge oak trees, rolling hills, the community is going to have access to the Colorado River with two miles of river frontage.
When it’s all completely done, there will be 1200 acres of green space because they really want people to feel like they’re in the hill country and to enjoy all the natural beauty. There will be 3500 home sites as well. And they’re gonna range on sizes, they’ll have some small cottages as well as huge villas where you can have an acre or more of land. Now what’s unique about this property is that they they are trying to make it a spot towards a destination, and somewhere where you can live, work and play.
So in the center of it, there will be a downtown with a boutique hotel, there will be shops, retail spaces, so you really don’t have to leave the community if you want to. There will also be an 18 hole golf course, as well as 40 miles of hiking trails and beautiful swimming pools, resort style amenities that you can enjoy too. But if you want to get into town, you’re only about a 30 minute drive to shopping at the hill, country Galleria, and behave in the Lakeway area. I’m excited about this development, we actually got on the VIP list ourselves. So we have first dibs at picking out a lot in the area as soon as they’re released.
And I’m excited because I’ve always thought that Spicewood Texas is such a beautiful area. But I have felt that a lot of our clients feel the same way too. It’s just, it’s sometimes feels a little too isolated out there. And it is a drive in to get to, you know, shops and restaurants. But having that downtown area right in the center of the community, to me would make it just perfect. You know, I love the idea of being able to be in my home and then just take a short walk or so and have a nice dinner or lunch or grab a coffee in the morning.
From what we’ve seen of the development plans. This is going to be absolutely spectacular. So I’m excited for this. And we’ve been waiting about it. We’ve heard rumors of this development for the last couple of years. And so finally it’s all coming to fruition. Next week, we are doing a private tour with the developers we get a more of a feel of what the home sites will look like and be able to really walk the land. And then as of June 27, we’re going to be able to register our clients who are seriously interested in getting a lot or building a home out there.
